Melody Reference

so i decided that id make some character sheets/references. my latest attempt at doing such   obviously its not done yet.

Melody Granite

Character age:

  16 in the 2nd series, 28 in the later series (as usual shes actually much MUCH older but that's too complicated to get into)

Visual age:

, in the 2nd series there were people whom occasionally would take her as being in her early 20's. in the next generation she looks more her age.

Personality:

melody at first seems to not have much of a personality, she smiles, she chats with her friends, and shes rarely rude and almost always polite and well spoken but other than that there does not seem to be much to her, however in reality this is a sorta mask she has worn since the death of her younger sister Wanalla, she has been losing grips on reality since her sisters demise, and as the 2nd series progresses her instability becomes more and more obvious. a colder and tad sadistic personality occasionally shows up usually around Lori-Chan. she can also be extremely ignorant of anything negative in the world, as if shes completely blind about it.

color associations:

while melody, like erica, will wear whatever color is "in" at any point in time, her favorite color is pink. the brighter the better, but she likes all shades of pink. the most common colors in her wardrobe of frilly dresses and skirts, are pinks, greens (all greens, even lime greens much to the disgust of Erica) reds, whites, and yellows. her power is more vine-based than rock-based and she has always felt an affinity with the color green however not as much as the color of her favorite pink roses. Everyone who knows her associates her with both the colors green and pink.

odd facts:

of all my main characters, melody is probably my most screwed up character even though she seems the least screwy at first.

melody enjoys reading old stories, tending to flowers and animals, and flower arranging.

melody can easily be distracted or manipulated when it comes to mentioning her sister.

melody hails from kingdom Terrain and while she constantly hangs out in Chosana in the 2nd series she does live in terrain.

melody is a diplomat for terrain, in the majority of the 2nd series she represents her home while in Chosana, in the late 2nd series she helps work as a diplomat for Chosana's armada. however in the next generation, she goes back to her initial diplomatic job but is no longer limited to Chosana.

Background/history:

the eldest daughter of the royal family of terrain, melody was raised to be a perfect lady. her older brother Andrew was to inherit the throne until he rebelled against his home and ended getting himself banished, the throne then passed over melody and was given to her younger sister Wanalla. Melody didn't actually mind, she loved her sister and thought she would make a wonderful ruler, however Wanalla never lived long enough to take the throne as she was murdered by an enemy kingdom. melody was crushed and never got over it, she ended up going to a sort of boarding school in Chosana where her friend Erica was enrolled, the two became great friends with Onica and the others and even after Onica and Erica's falling out she remained friends with them. Onica's banishment came as a huge shock to melody, and while she always doubted Onica actually did anything wrong, she never spoke up. during the 2nd series she eventually reunites with Onica and couldn't help but notice the similarities between Lori Chan and her dead sister. something that seemed to flip a switch in her and from there till the end of the 2nd series at least when Lori Chan is around, her instability starts to get worse and worse.
